Race night done

Race night is done and dusted for today. I didn't do too bad I got a 3rd, 2nd and 2nd in my motos and I came second in my final so not too bad. I made some mistakes in the final on the first straight but over all it was a good race.

On the Bristol track I found I needed a little higher gearing so I am going to either go back to 37x16 or I think I may go for a 42x18 as it is supposed to be a little better out of the gate and out of the berms.

Also the guy who beat me was riding a 37x16 and he seemed to just get a little more power from his peddle strikes than I had and as he went around the track the gap got bigger.

I have a 42 tooth front chainring and also an 18 tooth rear cog as well so I think I will give it a try as I was going to try it before I bought my last bike but the s&m frame wouldn't take a 42 tooth chain ring as it rubbed on the frame.

I am also going to buy a 41 tooth chain ring as this is supposed to be the best all around gearing and the closest match to a 44x16 on a 20".

I found the 41x18 too spinny last time I used it but I am getting fitter and I think that it may be better now although for Bristol track I think that 42x18 will be better.

Tuesday Training Done

Got woken up at 5:30 by a lorry reversing behind my house so decided to get up earlier and hit the track earlier. This was a good move as it started raining as I got back to the car after finishing up my training.

I had a pretty good training session today although I was coughing up loads of muck off my chest still and it was hard to breath at times.

I concentrated on the 3rd straight first today and concentrated on manual-ling the second double and doing the rest of the straight quickly. I didn't try jumping into the berm as I think that it is fast enough manual ling.

I started to mess up the manual on the second after about 10 tries so I decided to move on and practice the 4th and last straights instead. I feel that I have these pretty much dialled although I wasn't jumping into the last corner too cleanly so there is room for improvement. I also I need to focus on the second step up as I was manual ling it instead of jumping it but that is a little detail which will not make too much difference. I also need to clean up jumping the last double and onto the small table top as I was casing this every time.

I remembered my camera today so I will add some footage once I have edited it.

I am still a little worried about the fact that I can't breath properly and that I can't really do a full lap due to my chest but I will find out tomorrow how I go when I race. I plan to push it as hard as I can in all 3 motos and the final to get some endurance training even if it means that I am dead for the final as it is more important to push myself than to do well in the final.

Normally I go flat out for the first 3 straights and then take it easy on the last 2 straights but at the weekend I will need to go flat out for the whole track so I want to do this every moto to get used to it so it is not so hard at the weekend.

I should be getting my Onyx wheels back tomorrow which will be nice as they are a little easier to ride as they freewheel better than the StayStrong wheels which have a bit of drag on them where as the onyx wheels speed up when you stop peddling.

To be honest I have been really impressed with the StayStrong Wheels and for the price they are amazing.

I am going to have a morning off tomorrow as I will be racing in the evening so that will count as training and I don't want to overdo it too much before the weekend.

I am still deciding if I will rest on Friday or not and if I will be going to gates at Bristol or Bath on Saturday but as it stands at the moment I want to do gates at Bristol and will be taking Friday off as my left knee is a bit sore but that is probably due to the wet weather rather than over training.

MondayTraining done

Did my weigh in as I forgot to do it yesterday. I weighed in at 99.6kgs so up from yesterday but still under 100kgs.

I got up at 6 and went to Bristol to practice. It went pretty well apart from the fact I started coughing up gunk after about 3 straights so I couldn't do full laps. I was expecting this so I wasn't too bothered.

I did a bunch of first and second straights and then a bunch of first second and third straights and also a few first, second, third and fourth straights.

I decided not to push it too much so I left it at that.

Tomorrow I want to work on third, forth and faith last straights.

I have been watching so videos of old races and I have seen the best lines to take. Tomorrow I want to work on third straights to get pump the first double, manual the second jump the tabletop and jump into the corner. Once I get this sorted I will try and work on going from the third and fourth straights and then if I am up to it the third, fourth and last straights.

Good gates session

Had a good morning so far. Did a weigh in and found out that I have dropped under 100kgs (98.85kgs) even though I haven't done any exercise for a week.

I then went to gates and have been manualing both jumps on the first straight and jumping the table on the second straight easily every time.

Got a bit dizzy after about 10 gates so I called it a day so that I can recover to do full laps again tomorrow morning at the Bristol track.

Loved the new wheels they feel really fast and make a nice noise but the engagement is a little slower than my onyx hubs which will be great for training.

I am going to take my dialled frame to be painted next week and then I plan to start building it up once my 20" dialled bike is sold.

Tomorrow I am going to take the 20" to bath track to do some gear testing with my son as everyone is saying that the gearing on his bike is still too low.

I am going to Crucial later today so I will buy a 41 and a 42 tooth chain ring and we can then do some testing using my bike before I change the gearing on his bike next week.

No Training again today

Had no time for training again today as I had a flat viewing so didn't have time to go riding or to Crucial.

I have Gates at Bath in the morning so I will do some full laps out of the gate and then some more gates if I can handle any more.

I am going to drop the wheels in to Crucial in the afternoon so hopefully they will be ready for Wednesday to race in the summer series race.

Next week I am on holiday so I am going to get up early every morning and go to Bristol to get the laps in ready for the race on Sunday.

As I have said before Bristol is probably my best chance at getting into the A final of the year as I have always done well there and it and Bath are the 2 tracks that I practice on a lot so I know the tracks really well.

I want to concentrate on trying to learn to jump as many of the jumps as I can before the weekend. As I said before I have now got the 3rd straight pretty much sorted and I can jump into the last straight which gives a really good boost of speed into the last straight.

Still sick

I am still really rough so I was unable to ride again today. I also didn't have time to go to crucial as I had to look at houses again today.

I am hoping to get to Crucial tomorrow morning and drop off my wheels for a service and then go to the patchway track to get some laps in. I may just go to Bath tomorrow and then go to Pathway on Saturday afternoon.

Man flu taken hold

I have been really rough the last few days with a fever, sore throat and runny nose so I have done no exercise apart from walking which has been a struggle.

My new wheels arrived today and I have put them on my bike ready to use tomorrow. I plan to drop off my race wheels at crucial to be tried and serviced ready for the race next weekend.

The new wheels are light and seem pretty good and the rear hub is pretty load especially compared to the onyx hubs on my race bike which are silent.

Here are some photos of the unboxing and fitting to my bike.

The wheels seem pretty good they are light, not as light as my onyx and box wheels but as light as the bombshell wheel set I had before and they were about £150 less than the bombshell wheels are new.

Luckily I had some part worn maxxis tyres and some spare tubes so it was really quick to set them up. I even had a spare pair of lucky 8 ball valve caps lying around😀

I can't wait to test the wheels tomorrow.

Sick today

Woke up feeling really sick today so didn't go and race in Bournemouth.

I did take my son to Bristol for a bit early as the track was worked on yesterday.

I felt really rough so I didn't ride much but I did get the 3rd straight down after some advice from one of the guys from the club.

He said to jump onto the step up step down thingy as it gets you more speed to jump the double into the corner. I tried it and it made jumping into the corner really easy.

I am feeling better tonight so I am going to go back early tomorrow morning and get some full laps in to practice the third straight at full race speed.

I am liking the lower gearing as well although I couldn't really push it too much as I was feeling really sick. Hopefully tomorrow will show me some more.

Rest Day

Had to take another rest day today as I had too much to do so I took the day off. I can't go to training tomorrow either as I have to go to my parents house and help them moving.

I found 30 minutes today to swap my gearing to 36x16 I decided that I am going to use the gearing and just make do with it if I am slower with it then I am slower. I need to learn to spin so I might as well start now as I am not going to win at the weekend anyway so I am just using it as training anyway.

Luckily I did mess with my bike as the rear wheel bolts were loose so  I may have avoided a crash from the wheel coming out of line. I have also found that my rear wheel is out of alignment so I need to take them in to get them straightened next week so I am going to order some wheels to use for practising while my race wheels are being serviced.

I have just bought some new training wheels to use next week. I went for the Stay strong 24x1.175 Black wheels from Chain reaction as they were reduced by £20 and then I got another £20 off as I have a 10% discount from my British Cycling membership so not bad.

A link to the wheels can be found here:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/stay-strong-evolution-race-wheelset/rp-prod147405

I noticed that one of the allen bolts on my Onyx hub is rounded off which is probably why the wheel was loose. Next month I am going to buy a new chain gusset V2 from crucial so that I can slam my wheels properly.

The chain is a half link chain so it is more adjustable than a normal chain and it is supposed to be the strongest chain going.

I am also debating buying some of the Yess aluminium forks for the cruiser then my Yess is fully built with nothing to change. The Yess forks look really good and are also really light and I have wanted to try them for months.

Bath full laps and sprints

Got up early and went to the track in Bath as I have a lot to do today.

I did a pump lap and a continuous peddling lap and then did 6 full speed laps with 5 minutes rest in between. I then did 5 x 10-12 peddle sprints in the car park with the long seat post. I rested 3 minutes between sprints. My manuals on the first straight were much cleaner than they had been and I only cased once on the second jump so getting better slowly.

Tomorrow I am going to go to Bristol to do full laps there and I will drop the rest time to 4 minutes as 5 minutes is too long.

I am also debating dropping my gearing lower to 36x16 to be on the same gearing as most of the fastest riders. I have 17 day until the next race which is at Bristol where I am training so I have plenty of time to get used to the new gearing.

I am going to leave the 37x16 gearing for tomorrow and time my laps and then tomorrow I will change my gearing and then do timed laps again on Sunday to see which is faster.

I will then decide which gearing to use.

Change of plans on the gearing front! I have just registered to race in a South Regional in Bournemouth on Sunday. I am going to change the gearing in the morning and then see how it goes in the laps tomorrow and also training on Saturday and racing on Sunday. I am not expecting to do too well as the South guys are all really quick and are mostly National Riders so I am basically going to get some speed training in but we will see.

I also really wanted to try the track out as it seems really nice and apparently has just been re done. I am also finding that racing is better for improving track fitness and speed as you are forced to go flat out all of the time.

The last time I went to a South Regional I got my arse handed to me as I was last in every race loosing on the last straight every time. That time the gate was really slow and I kept hitting it so I am hoping with a proper gate I can do a little better this time.

Another Rest Day

Had to have another rest day today as it was raining really hard all day. It is supposed to be dry tomorrow so I will go to Bristol and do full laps again.

Tuesday, 16 May 2017

Rest Day

Had a rest day today as  I had loads of stuff to do. I put my helmet and 20" bike on ebay to sell and also had to go and see a house to rent as we need to find somewhere by the 22nd of next month.

It has also been pissing down all day so I figured I might as well have he day off as I can't be arsed to wash the bike again in the rain.

I haven't got anything planned tomorrow so when I wake up I am going to go to Bristol and do full laps again even though it is going to be raining all day again!

Monday, 15 May 2017

Bristol Full laps done

Got up at 5:30am this morning and went to Bristol and did a 3 lap warm up of pumping, peddling the whole track and then manualing everything.

I then did 6 full speed laps with 5 minutes rest in between. I managed to find new ways to get more speed and also peddled a lot so my legs were tired by the third lap so the last 3 were a struggle down the last straight every time.

Tomorrow I am going to go to Bath and do the same thing on the shorter track. I was going to practice jumping but I think I will get more out of doing full laps than learning to jump. I want to practice manualling more before I start focusing on manualing.

Race day

Did my weigh in when I woke up and I am the same weight as last week which isn't bad as I didn't do any exercise this week except for Monday morning and yesterday.

Had a race at Tiverton today. It didn't go too bad really although I have had a ringing in my right ear for a few days and it intefered with me hearing the gate so my gates were slow all day today.

Considering this I did ok. I finished 4th in all my motos, 6th in my semi and 4th in the B final so all in all pretty consistent. I finished second in my age group today too.

I now have a face ache as well to go along with the ringing in my ears so starting to get a bit worried that something may be up.

I plan to go to Bristol early tomorrow to train as I have 3 weeks until the next race which is at Bristol so I want to be as prepared as possible to try and make an A final if I can.

Bike finally arrived

My Sunday Model C finally arrived from the depot in Bristol where it has been for 3 days!!!!!

I have just built it up and I am going to test it out at the track once I have done some gates this morning.

Here are some photos of the build. It was really straight forward and took 10 minutes.

The bike looks and feels amazing and it is much lighter than I was expecting.

I am just getting showered and dressed ready to go to the track so I will have a report in a few hours on how it rides.

Just got back from the track and the Tioga power blocks are really good they feel really fast and seem to cover more ground per peddle that the maxxis that I am used to.

I had a quick go on the Sunday and it feels really strange compared to the Yess as it is really high up with big bars and a higher bottom bracket. I don't did 2 laps and managed to jump the table top first go but slipped a peddle and gashed open my shin! The second lap I managed to move the back wheel out of alignment and so was unable to ride it any more.

I did a few more laps on the Yess and then called it a day as I have to race tomorrow and I didn't want to hurt myself any more for today.

I have just got a couple of photos from last weekends racing. I am pretty pleased and the 2 guys I am with are usually in the A finals so I am definitely getting better.

I want to get this weekend out of the way and then I have 2 weeks to train really hard for the Bristol race which I think is my best chance to make an A final this year as it is the track that I ride the most. In the 2 weeks I will do one day full laps one day breaking the track into straights.

Yet Another Rest Day!!!

Had yet another rest day today as I had one of those days where you know you should have stayed in bed!!!!

I got up early to go to Bristol and pick up my new bike from parcel force's depot but couldnt get out of my driveway as the electric gates were tripping the circuit breaker every time they tried to move! After about half an hour I got the gates open enough to get the car out. SO I went to the depot (a 30 minute drive) only to find that the parcel that I asked to be left in the Depot for pickup was out for delivery!! I was assured that it would be delivered today as the driver hadn't even attempted to deliver it yesterday. I then drove the 30 minutes home and waited and waited only for the driver to put the package as unable to deliver again even though he didn't attempt to deliver it again. I ran them and apparently it was out for delivery!!!!

I have a feeling this is going to be a real pain to get it.

Thursday, 11 May 2017

Another rest day

Had to take another rest day as I had a lot of running about to do today and I had to get home to wait for my new bike to arrive but it turned out that the driver didn't even bother to deliver it!!!

It was OK as I havent had much sleep this week so I chilled and watched a film and got 2 hours of extra sleep before I went to pick up my Son from school.

Earlier in the morning I went to Bristol and dropped off the S&M at the Parcel Force Depot to send to the buyer (typically it was the same depot where it turns out the new bike was!!!) I then shot over to Crucial BMX and picked up my Son's bike ready to race at the weekend. I have upped his gearing to 39x15 to see if this helps him stay with the rest of his age group or not.

I will have to go to the parcel force depot again tomorrow morning to pickup the bike so I will go to the track afterwards to have a play on the new bike.

Busy Day

I have had to take the day off again today as I had to pick up my car from 30 minutes away where it was having a service and then drive an hour to Bristol to drop off my Son's bike to have the gearing changed and pickup my Cruiser which was having the tyres changed and also my 20" which was being built up to be sold. I then had to drive back home and then run to another bike shop to pick up an empty box to put the S&M in to ship it tomorrow on the way to Bristol to train and try out my bike with the new tyres.

The bike seems to be lighter than it was with the Maxxis tyres on but we will see tomorrow when I take it around the track.

The Sunday has been sent today and should be arriving tomorrow so I can build that up ready to take it to the track and play on Friday. I want to take Friday off as well to make sure I am rested ready for the weekend so playing on the new bike Jumping will be a change from doing full out laps.

I want to get to the point where I am jumping all the jumps on the Bristol track before the race meeting on June the 4th. I can currently jump the second jump, the 4th Jump, I can jump the tabletop (8th Jump), Case the 9th jump, Jump onto the 11th, Jump the 12th and 13th and 14th.

I currently have 8 Jumps that I can't jump so not
many to go 😁

I decided as I have brand new tyres on my bike I had better get a couple of photos before the tyres got dirty again so here they are:

I think that I will order a 24*1.60 tyre for the back but the 24*1.75 will do for now.

S&M gone

Someone bought the S&M today so tomorrow I will be running around finding boxes and packing the bike up ready to send Thursday morning from the depot in Bristol.

I am deciding what I want to do with the cash I can either save it, buy some wheels to use for jumping or buy a freestyle cruiser to learn to Jump on and use to ride to work and practice manuals all the way to work and play at street riding.

I am leaning towards the last option and have my eye on a Sunday Model C which has a Chrome Frame and Odyssey and Sunday parts so is pretty high end and everyone says great things about it. It is also a scaled up 20" so rides like a true freestyle bike and not a 24" at all.

I like the idea of the Sunday as it would be ideal to use at the pump track as well and then I can sell my 20" and use the Sunday for pump tracks and also jumping at the track as well.

The last couple Few races have highlighted that I need to learn to manual and jump better in order to keep up with the fast boys as I am loosing speed all the time at the moment when I should be getting faster.

ON the last 4 tracks there have been jumps that are really hard to manual cleanly and that the only fast way to get over the jumps is to jump them.

I think the time has come to learn to jump properly before the next race in Bristol next month and I want to get a bike that is a bit more forgiving than my race bike but still feels like a cruiser. Hence the Sunday which has a steel frame and larger tyres to absorb more of the impact. I was thinking that on the days were normally I am resting I could go to a track and jump instead then I can put what I learn into practice the next day doing full laps.

As Sunday's racing showed once I have jumped a jump I can continue Jumping it as there was a small double on the inside of the berm that I had tried to jumps and not been able to until I was in my third moto and had to try and catch people up and I jumped it without thinking as I was going too fast to pump or manual and just jumped it naturally without thinking. Once I had done it once I did it in the semi and final without thinking too.

I did the same thing when I was trying to jump the second jump at Bristol I kept casing it every time until I did it cleanly once then I could do it easily and at speed.

I have just bought a new Sunday Model C from here: https://www.foundationbmx.com/bmx-shop/bmx-bikes/sunday-model-c-24-2017.html

Here is a picture of the Bike:

Training

Got up at 5:30 and went to Tiverton track to get some laps in in preparation for Sunday's race. I did a pump lap, Continuous peddling lap and a manual lap as warm up and then 6 full speed laps. I then did 3 final berm and final straights as it was the only straight that I didn't practice on last week.

I am happy with the way the laps went especially considering that my legs were still sore.

I called in to Crucial and left my bike for a service and to have the new Power Block tyres fitted ready for the weekend. I am going to leave my Son's bike in on Wednesday to get the gearing changed ready for the weekend too. My 20" was being worked on when I was there so it will be ready by Wednesday.

I am going to have a rest day tomorrow as I have to take my car for a service tomorrow so not able to go anywhere while it is being looked at.

There are some good pictures starting to come in from yesterday's racing. Also the results are up and I definitely won my age group again.

Race Day

It was race day today. Got up early and did my weigh in and I have dropped half a kg to 100.45 kgs. Still not good but I did nothing as my legs were aching the second half of the week.

My legs were still aching when I got up and got worse as the day went on. I had a good first Moto where I was in second place until the third straight and got overtaken on the 4th straight to finish 4th. My second Moto I spun the back wheel out of the gate so was slow to start but still managed to finish in 5th and my 3rd Moto I was cut off on the first jump which pushed me to 7th but I managed to pull back one place to finish 6th. I made the semis but had no legs and got taken on the 4th straight to finish last. In the final the guy inside me wheelied out of the gate and lost control and cut me off so I had to brake to not take him out but I managed to pull back one place to finish 7th so not a great result but I beat the guy who beat me in the semi. Also there were a lot of top riders at this race and half of the B final were in the A final last week so I didn't do too bad. I also beat every one who was in the B final last week again last week and I think I won my age group again this week so not too bad.

To top off a great day we won the Mini rocker in the raffle so my son is really happy as he had said in the week that he wanted to win it. It was the highlight of his day as he had a terrible days racing as he hasn't ridden for ages.

Legs Still Aching

My legs are still really sore from Wednesday so I have decided not not practice today to rest up for tomorrow and go to the race with fresher legs. I am going to take ibuprofen today to get rid of the last bit of soreness as well.

Looking forwards to tomorrow as there are only 4 in my age group again and there is only one fast rider so I think I should be able to finish 2nd in my age group tomorrow if I have a really good day then 1st again.

My only real worry is the second jump as I can't get over it very well and the fast guy can jump it so he isn't loosing any speed and I will loose a lot unless I can figure it out.

On the plus side the track is really narrow so if I can get out in front I can hold off the passed a bit easier as there is not a lot of room for people to pass. I am more confident as I was gating really well on Tuesday night so we will see. It looks like there will be 20+ riders this weekend which is more than last weekend and there are some really fast riders that weren't there last week so I don't know where I will come but I don't think I will get into the A final again but we will see.

The bikes are cleaned and packed in the car ready for tomorrow.

I have also bought some of the photos from the official photographer from last weekend.

From my first heat.

From my final where I won my first ever regional final 😀. Looking at the pictures I won pretty comfortably as there was no one near me from the second straight onwards.

Rest day

Had to have a rest day today as my legs were really sore from training yesterday and basketball last night.

I did a weigh in this morning and I am under 100 kgs again today.

Apart from walking to and from work I am not doing anything today or tomorrow but Saturday and Sunday we are at Burnham training and racing so we need to rest up ready.

I am walking to work again tomorrow as the new seat, post and clamp haven't arrived yet for my mountain bike and I am not changing leaving either of my cruisers outside work. Getting shafted out of £80 in a week is bad enough.  The stuff for the mountain bike will be here early next week I think so I will try and get out on it a couple of times to try and drop some weight if I can. I am going to be without a car for a Tuesday and probably Wednesday too so I will not be able to go to the track without the car so I will go for a ride on the mountain bike. I may go up to the track as part of the ride. I am not sure yet.

I am just trying to find out how I can get the sctews out of my cleats as the allenkey bolts are rounded off and will not come out so that I can move the cleats further back like my race shoes as the position is much better.

Great session at Tivi

Got up at 5.30 am this morning and drove to Tiverton for a training session ready for the regional in a few weeks.

Made great strides today so really pleased. I have now got the first second and third straights pretty much sorted and I am starting to carry speed around the whole track now.

Today I practiced mainly second and third straights today. I am now able to jump the 1st on the second straight and cleanly manual the 2nd and manual and pump the third.

On the third straight I can now cleanly manual and pump the first and manual the second whilst gaining speed.

Next week I will consentrate on the 4th straight and then do full laps to string everything together.

I am hoping that by the end of next week I will have the track 100% sorted so that I don't have to think about anything while I am racing.

On the way back I dropped into crucial to get the dialled StayStrong built up again as my mountain bike is out of commission until I buy a new seat, post and clamp to replace the stolen ones but I am not in any hurry to get new bits as they are too expensive and I don't want to replace them to give the crackheads that stole the originals more things to sell for crack!!!!

The 20" will be better as I can bring it inside and stash it somewhere so that I don't get anything else stolen.

While I was there I bought some Tioga power block tyres for the Yess to see if they stop all of the wrist pain I am getting slaming into the back of jumps trying to manual them.

People say that the power locks are more forgiving than the maxxis tyres as the have a higher profile and therefore a bigger cussion of air to absorb some of the shock that at the moment is going to my wrists.

They also have a larger rolling circumference than the DTH which is supposed to be better.

I am going to fit them now and I will take some pictures to post later.

First time at Burnham

Did a weigh in this morning as I couldn't do it Sunday morning and I yesterday morning. I am back up to 100.96 kgs not good.

Went to Burnham track tonight for the first time and I must say both myself and my son loved the track.

I consentrated on the gate and the first straight and Thursday I will do first and second straights as there is a weird little double into the second straight that I need to jump in order to keep speed. The second jump on the first straight is another weird throwy jump like Cornwall which I can't jump or manual but kind of jump into a manual and crash into the back of the jump. Will have to figure out how to get over it quickly on Thursday too. The rest of the track is good as there is a lot of pumping.

Tomorrow early I am going to go to Tiverton track and do full laps to try and drop some of the weight that I have put on.

Also today some arsehole stole my seat, post and seat clamp from outside of work
Luckily it was on my mountain bike. It would have been worse if it had been my BMX. I am now thinking that it is not a good idea to ride the bmx to work any more so I will have to buy a new seat, post and clamp tomorrow to keep using the mountain bike to go to work on.

Clean up time

I was working from home today so I cleaned my bike and shoes and got all of the wet clothes out of the car and into the washing machine.

The bike is looking new again as I waxed the fram after washing it as it was getting streaks on it without the wax. I also oiled the chain after removing about 5kgs of sandy mud from it. You could hear the sand grinding on the chain when you moved the peddles it was really horrible. After cleaning and oiling the chain it is back to being silent, just the way I like it!

I have also cleaned my shoes as they were really dirty and wet as well. They are now on the radiator full of news paper ready to use tomorrow. I have re-packed the car ready to go to Burnham tomorrow night after work.

After work tonight I will wash my helmet and hang up the washed clothes to dry ready to use tomorrow again.

I am going to clean my helmet later tonight as it is full of mud as well. I also need to find out how to clean the waterproof Jacket I bought yesterday to keep dry as it is also caked in mud from racing.

The points are in and I have moved up from 5th to 4th place in the standings as I won my age group yesterday as One of the fast guys was injured so just rolled around for the points and the rest didn't make the journey down.
